  2. There are two ways of installing Jasc Software's Paint Shop Pro.
  3.  
  4. METHOD 1:
  5.  
  6. 1.     Run the setup program.
  7.  
  8. METHOD 2:
  9. 1. Drag the Paint Shop Pro folder from the CD to C:\Program Files on your hard drive.
  10.  
  11. 2. Create a registry entry:
  12. Run>REGEDIT -Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
  13. create Paint Shop Pro 4.15 key. Under the Paint Shop Pro 4.15 key create two strings.  Call 
  14. one DisplayName and give it the value date = Paint Shop Pro 4.15.  Call the second one Uninstallstring
  15. and give it the value date = C:\Program Files\Paint Shop Pro\unwise.exe  C:\Progra~1\Paints~1\install.log. 
  16. Close REGEDIT.

  18. 3. Next create two shortcuts in your Start Menu.  Create a new folder in your C:\Windows\
  19. Start Menu\Programs Directory called Paint Shop Pro - under that create a short cut for the 
  20. Paint Shop Pro.exe file and the Paint Shop Pro readme file found in your original psp 
  21. folder that you copied to your hard drive.

  23. 4. Copy all the files from the Windows95 or WindowsNT directory on the CD to the windows 
  24. system directory on the hard drive.

  26. 5. If you install the program somewhere other than C:\Program Files\Paint Shop Pro you
  27.  will need to change your install.log file to point to the installation folder.  You can
  28.  find the install.log in the Paint Shop Pro folder on the CD.
